2026–27 season

Points &
rankings

Where national ranking points come from under the 2026–27 structure, your primary club, the quarterly championships and the tournament ladder, plus what SPR measures.
The basics

How points are earned

Three rules decide whether a result counts toward the national board, all three from the 2026-27 League Rules.
  1. Pick a primary club

“Players select a primary club to earn points from a variety of events.” You can join as many leagues as you want, but you need a primary club listed with your sanctioning to receive national ranking points.

  2. Get sanctioned, Silver or above

A free Bronze account plays league-night round robins. Official APL Rankings and sanctioned tournament competition start at Silver ($30/season): tournament eligibility requires “a current APL Silver Membership or above.”

  3. Throw the quarterly championships

League season points are the accumulated total from your highest placement in each quarterly League Season Championship tournament, four total in a Full Season, each seeded by round-robin record and submitted to the APL Leaderboard.

The ladder

Tournament points

Four event tiers feed the same board, only your best finishes at each tier count.
Local
12best finishes count

Highest finishes for up to twelve (12) local tournaments for the full season.

Conference
4best placements count

Highest four placements in any Conference tournament during the season.

Regional
3best placements count

Highest three placements from any Regional tournament during the season.

Destination Series
2best placements count

Highest two placements at any Destination Series tournament during the season.

League season points · ×4

The accumulated total from your highest placement in each quarterly League Season Championship tournament, four in a Full Season.

Closed tournaments

Closed tournaments do not provide points for rankings.

The rating

What SPR measures

SPR is the Season Player Rating, a performance number that sits alongside your points total rather than replacing it.
Per Scoreholio, SPR is a rating “calculated based solely on games played within a specific season.” Points reward turning up and placing across the season; SPR reflects how you actually played in those games. Both appear on every row of the leaderboard.
Scoreholio's Season Rating scale runs 0–1000 and starts new players at 500 by default. The APL 2026-27 season's published values currently run 0.0–64.7, so APL's season is configured differently. The exact configuration is one for the league to confirm.
Awaiting APL · the points-per-placement table

The 2026-27 League Rules define WHICH finishes count (best 12 local, 4 Conference, 3 Regional, 2 Destination Series, plus the four quarterly championships), but not how many points each placement is worth. Send the table and this section becomes it.
