APL runs two 2026–27 seasons side by side: the full-season bracket board, which is the national leaderboard on this site, and a quarterly Round Robin season for weekly league nights. Both are on the leaderboard, the season selector switches between them.
Weekly play

The round-robin week

Sanctioned league play runs the Round Robin format, and the weekly games count toward individual stats and intra-league standings for the end-of-quarter club tournament.

Four games a week

A minimum of four Round Robin games must be offered each week, organizers may determine the total number of games offered.

Four weeks a quarter

Organizers must offer at least four weeks of Round Robin play per quarter, providing players with the opportunity to complete a minimum of 16 games within their club.

Register by week one

Players may register for the entire Quarter Season prior to the first week of match play. A free Bronze membership is the minimum to compete in round robins.
Every quarter ends in a bracket

The Club Championship

Mandatory, double-elimination, and it feeds the national board, four times a season.

Mandatory · double-elim

Organizers MUST hold a double-elimination Club Championship Tournament at the end of every quarter, one bracket submitted per club, per quarter.

Seeded by your record

Brackets are seeded from the win/loss record accumulated from the weekly round-robin games within the Quarter Season.

Feeds the APL Leaderboard

Championship results are submitted for APL Leaderboard Rankings, accepted for the national rankings provided all league weeks are submitted for approval and all players are sanctioned.

Three weeks to qualify

Players must have a minimum of three weeks of league play on record for the quarter, in that club, and must be sanctioned to participate.

How to certify a league

APL will certify leagues in the game of competitive Popdarts, three steps, straight from League Rule L-1.
  1. Create an Organizer profile

Your organizer identity with the APL. The person the league is certified under.

  2. Establish a league club on Scoreholio

The club is where your round robins, standings and quarterly championship brackets live.

  3. Apply through the organizer form

Send your organizer names and contact information through the organizer form for approval. It reaches the APL organizer team directly.

What a certified league runs

  • Three or more players/teams, with any club affiliation.
  • A minimum of four per-player games submitted to the APL in round-robin format each week. Organizers may choose to exceed four games.
  • Players hold at minimum a Bronze APL membership to compete in round robins.
  • The organizer provides a leaderboard for the games played in scheduled competition. A spreadsheet is advised to maintain league records.
  • All games played and conducted in strict compliance with the current-season APL rules; club rules may be added where they do not conflict.

How to sign up on Scoreholio

Four steps, all on your phone.
  1. Download the Scoreholio app

Every sanctioned APL event runs check-in, brackets and scoring in Scoreholio. It is free, on iOS and Android.

  2. Create an account

One account carries your season across every club you throw at.

  3. Set your display name to your real name

First and last. The national rankings publish the display name on your Scoreholio account, so a nickname is how players end up unfindable on the board.

  4. Find the APL season and register

Open the league's season page, pick the event, and pay from your phone. A free Bronze account plays round robins; official ranking points need a Silver membership or above.
