Bring APL to Your Country

APL is expanding internationally through local players and approved organizers. Whether you want to play, start a league in your country, or supply Popdarts where you live, this is where it starts.
Start here

How to Get Started

Four steps from never having thrown to playing your first sanctioned night. You need a membership to play a sanctioned night, and free Bronze counts, so nothing here costs anything to begin.
  1. A player lining up a Popdarts throw at a league night

Step 1. Build your free Scoreholio player profile

Every APL result is scored in the free Scoreholio app, and the sign-up below creates that player account for you. Set your display name to your real first and last name: that is the name the national rankings are published under.

Use the same email you’ll use in the Scoreholio app.

  2. ChooseBronze or SilverTwo international tiers

    Step 2. Pick a membership

Two international tiers, and one of them is free. Bronze (International) is free and ongoing. Silver (International) is a seasonal membership, and Silver (International) members appear on the same official APL rankings as domestic Silver members.

  3. APL league tables set up for a league night

Step 3. Find a league near you

The club map carries international clubs alongside the domestic ones, one map, not a separate view. You do not need a team and you do not need an invite; turn up as a guest.

  4. VirtualLeague NightEvery Tuesday · online

Step 4. Join the next Virtual League Night

Play and meet other throwers with no local league required. It runs online, so your country does not need a club yet. You have to be a member to join, so do step 2 first; free Bronze counts.

The split

What each side brings

An APL league in your country is a partnership of two lists. This is both of them.

APL provides

  • Brand license
  • League structure and rules
  • Scoreholio platform access
  • Digital membership benefits
  • Content and marketing support

The organizer provides

  • Local players and venues
  • Event operation
  • Local promotion
  • Compliance with local law
The process

How it works

Apply and review. Nothing is signed on this page, and no step here costs you anything.
  1. APL reviews your application and market
  2. Intro call
  3. APL completes trademark and brand clearance in your country

Before any agreement is issued, APL verifies brand and trademark clearance in your country. This step protects both sides and can take additional time depending on the market.

  4. If approved, APL sends a simple two-page international licensing agreement

If your application is approved, APL will send you a simple two-page international licensing agreement to review and sign.

  5. Club setup on Scoreholio
  6. Order your starter package and launch

APL sends a quote and a secure checkout link by email once the agreement is executed.

Equipment

Every league starts on Elite

Elite Popdarts is the official dart of international APL play. Every international league starts on Elite, so nothing has to be replaced later.

Additional Elite three pack colorways launch in November, with at least four new colors to choose from.

Minimum equipment by expected player count

This is a floor to clear, not a packing list. The package cards above are what APL ships; this table is what has to be on hand to run the play. The two sets of numbers are different on purpose and the package for a given player count can ship more than that row asks for.

Minimum quantities an organizer keeps on hand, set by the number of players they expect 90 days after launch.

What the organizer brings

This is what the organizer needs on hand before their first night, so nobody unboxes a package and finds they cannot run play.

Physical items

  • Venue with 24' L x 6' W of space per table (metric conversion available)
  • Tablet, laptop, or phone (phone is harder)
  • 25' measuring tape
  • Painters tape, or similar floor-safe adhesive tape, used to mark the fault line, the player boxes, and throwing distance from the target marker

Digital requirements

  • Scoreholio Competitive account status or higher
  • APL International Silver membership
  • Round Robin submission credits
  • Bracket submission credits
Packages ship directly to the organizer’s address. APL delivers DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), meaning duties, taxes, and customs clearance are handled by APL and included in the quoted price. There are no surprise fees at the border. APL will quote the package and delivery after the application is reviewed, since cost varies by country.
Distribution

Ordering at volume

APL is opening distribution in select countries. Minimum order 1,000 units.
A unit is one Elite full set or one Elite three pack. Tables, towers, Wyre™ units, and target markers are accessories and do not count toward the 1,000 unit minimum.
