How to Get Started
Four steps from never having thrown to your name on the national board. You need a membership to play a sanctioned night, and free Bronze counts, so nothing here costs anything to begin.
Step 1. Build your free Scoreholio player profile
Every APL result is scored in the free Scoreholio app, and the sign-up below creates that player account for you. Set your display name to your real first and last name: that is the name the national rankings are published under.

Step 2. Pick a membership
You have to be a member to play a sanctioned night, and free Bronze counts. Official rankings and sanctioned tournaments start at Silver ($30/season); Gold is $60/season and Legacy is a one-time $300. You can upgrade at any point in the season.

Step 3. Find a league near you
The club map shows every venue with a sanctioned night on the calendar. You do not need a team and you do not need an invite, turn up as a guest. Nothing nearby? Venues start new clubs every month.

Step 4. Join the next Virtual League Night
Every Tuesday, hosted by Luke Stutzman, play and meet other throwers with no local league required. You have to be a member to join, so do step 2 first; free Bronze counts.

Colton Davis is the reigning Popdarts National Champion, back-to-back at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The 2026 National Championship carried a $25,000 prize pool and aired live on ESPN2, the last night of a season that starts on a league night in a bar, a garage or an axe-throwing venue near you.
